American Values by Quasimanga American Values by Quasimanga
An average American and what he values.

Some of the models used in creating the piece.
A perfectly ordinary Texan
The world famous Fatman

Some of the influences:
The Crying Indian , peaceful friend of nature.

Something tangentially hilarious:
Hippys’ Battle Cry!

In closing, this picture is dedicated to internet luminary, Shawn Elliot , who regularly showcases the morbidly obese via his Twitter feed. Follow him at your own peril. I do.

Then follow me too. Quasimanga on Twitter

Yeah. Considering I'm an american, i kinda find this offensive. Great detail, but not all Americans eat junk and are in constant war-mode! I'm a pacifist, and im perfectly heatlthy. Sorry about ranting. Just wanted ya to know. Now i'm gonna go play Bad Piggies. It just came out thursday. O3o

. . . I think this is a power piece. This picture is neither sad nor mocking, it's a symbolic piece in more ways than one. I don't think he was mocking Americans, just as he wasn't mocking the terrorist. He's making a point that just like we have stereotypes of other countries, races, and ect. They have it the same. And more often than not the typical American would see this and get angry because "We're not fat and war junkies," Please...let's be honest. In America where weight is a 'disease,' You ridicule a Black president faster than the White president who sent us down this economical destruction, and we're at a war for Gas? Not to mention, the religion wars. This picture says it all. We Americans need not be so dense and pull our head out of our asses for fear we might shit our self in anger. The truth is there, it simply takes a nation to realize that we're not perfect.

Very well done, and sadly accurate in portraying current American values. (although you left out the television displaying some crappy reality tv show :P )

I usually really admire your work, but I am honestly disappointed in this one. You can do better than this.

Yea if I was that guy, I'd be set for life.

Wouldn't have to worry about those cold winters either.
