Like most of my comics, it’s four years too old to be relevant. Does anyone even remember Pikmin? It was the greatest console RTS of its time, and right up there on my list of all time favorite games.

It’s unfortunate that for all the good this game contained, it served as a vehicle for so many reprehensible themes. Remove the veil of cutesy graphics and see the game for what it truly represents. A presentation and justification of slavery, imperialism, and Victorian concepts of “The White Man’s Burden.” Shame on you Nintendo! I’m boycotting your system!

Pikmin 2 is one of my all time favorite games. I'm really hoping on a DS sequel so I can play on the go.

Anime style is an oxymoron.

Haha, that's great. Good to see someone else has the same crazy sense of humor as I do. =) Don't worry, you're not the only one who remembers Pikmin. [link]

Funny thing is that I'm currently playing Victoria: An Empire Under the Sun. <laugh>

I have often had the impression that, to penguins, man is just another penguin--different, less predictable, occasionally violent, but tolerable company when he sits and minds his own business. -Bernard Stonehouse

You know, not very Japan or Video game related, but if you examine Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, it's the same thing. Firing an entire city that's dependent on the chocolate factory, and hiring cheap overseas labor. Now is that cruel or what?
:icontonythestripes:
I was actually just playing this a few days ago...
Definitely one of my favorites.
I don't know if you've played Overlord, but it's pretty much the exact same thing, only you're an evil overlord with goblins instead of a cute little spaceman with cuter little...plant...things...
:iconquasimanga:
I have been looking for a new video game to kill time playing. I haven't tried Overlord, but I’ll look into it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Who knew there were hidden parallels to the plight of modern Western industrialized cities in Willy Wonka. I never examined it that deeply. I just thought the Ompa Lumpas were frightening little dwarf men, but I guess they were supposed to represent China, Mexico, or India, depending on how you see it.

XD
Lies i say!
No...i can totally see that.
*shakes head*
What a shame.

Howard Moon: This better be good.
Vince Noir: You know the black bits in bananas, are they tarantulas eggs?
