This idea came via the Scientific American podcast where a journalist was discussing quantum entanglement and how entangled particles have an instantaneous effect on one another, even across great distances. Apparently, this breaks Einsteinian relativity, because entangled particles exchange information faster than the speed of light.
The way the journalist on the podcast described the linked particles reminded me of the Chinese red string of fate concept. The string links people together that are destined to meetlike soulmates or E-harmony.com.
About the science talk above, please cut me some slack if Ive completely botched entanglement. Aside from watching Carl Sagans Cosmos series several times, and occasionally listening to science related books and podcasts, I have no formal background in science. I make drawings for a living.

ya, well, I discosvered your art back in '04, maybe earlier, on your other websites, and I've kept up with it ever since. always been one of my favorite styles.
I like the concept. I know what you're talking about, at least I think I do (we might be thinking of two different things). I think this video [link] at 8:30 is what you're talking about
Yes, quantum chemistry is one of my interests (even though I only got a 2.5 in that course), that's how I found this. Really cool concept, as I've said before.
Very Best,
clark
