Pegasus Anthro in the Clouds by Quasimanga Pegasus Anthro in the Clouds by Quasimanga
It’s a bird. It’s a plane. No, it’s a flying Pegasus anthro in a flowing white gown. This image is from my upcoming book, Draw Furries. Since we weren’t able to fit a step-by-step demo for this image in the book, (you know, limited space in publishing and all that) I’ve posted a series of buildup sketches, and work-in-progress snapshots of the painting process on my blog.

Check it out.

Now here’s a meaningless question to ponder. Are Pegasi an offshoot horse species, a specific breed of horse, or can any horse be a Pegasus if you slap a pair of wings on them?

What a nice picture. Nice pegasus furry. As for your question, it probably depends on the magical setting the pegasi are in. I do think that pegasi are a horse relative instead of a bird relative. In My Little Pony, Twilight Sparkle became like a pegasus, just because a magical spell slapped wings on her. Strictly speaking, Twilight Sparkle became an alicorn. It is a fantasy horse with the wings of a pegasis and the horn of a unicorn. I like the idea of horses changing their appearance like that. It seems more magical.

It's pretty good, except the face is too dished and the hocks are placed too low on the legs.

I HAVE THIS BOOK AND IT IS TOO AWESOME 4 WORDSSSS...

I was reeeeaaaaallly shocked to find it, because in the 'real' world there's barely any anthro/furry stuff that isn't from cartoons. I loved the equine and avian sections, SOOOO HELPFUL!!! You guys are AWESOME.
